Merve Gizem Cevheroğlu Açar

Merve Gizem Cevheroğlu Açar received her Bachelor of Business Administration (BA) degree in 2013 and her master’s degree (MA) from Boğaziçi University in 2016. Continuing her doctorate education in the same field, Cevheroğlu Açar completed her doctoral degree (PhD) from Boğaziçi University in 2022 with her thesis titled “Ambiguity, High-Frequency Data, and Asset Prices”. A part of her doctoral thesis received BAP project support. During her graduate education, Cevheroğlu Açar worked as a research assistant at Boğaziçi University, Department of Management. In addition, since June 2022, she has been involved in the TUBITAK ARDEB 3501 project as a researcher. Her studies and interests focus on asset pricing, ambiguity, ambiguity attitudes, efficient market hypothesis, financial anomalies, behavioral finance, and capital structure. Some of her research has been published in Research in International Business and Finance, Financial Political & Economic Reviews, Journal of Management and Sustainability.
